This workshop presents strategies that give family caregivers of adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) the skills to respond safely to various levels of risk behavior while balancing the responsibilities of care. 

About this workshop:

Each instructional team will a professional and family member. This Sharing Strategies* workshop will present best practices in positive behavior support and nonviolent crisis intervention.

The workshop is only open to family caregivers of adults with IDD living in Rhode Island. There is no cost to attend a workshop.

IMPORTANT: This workshop DOES NOT address or include training in physical intervention strategies.
