About the event
Open to Rhode Island residents/workers interested in Person-Centered Thinking!
Rhode Island is in the process of expanding and refining Person-Centered practices throughout the state. One of the most important components of Person-Centered Thinking is the Facilitator who advises and assists the person to actively participate in developing a plan for all domains of their life. A work group of people who have a developmental disability, family members, advocates and service providers developed the Rhode Island Person-Centered Thinking Guide. This Guide is the basis of this 18-hour training that will assist any interested person (who has real life experience with adolescents and/or adults who have developmental disabilities) to become a better facilitator and advisor. A Person-Centered Thinking Structural Components Outline is also available for a quick overview.
